Sitting in the airport in Nashville thinking about my big weekend with my mom art the Indiegrrl Conference. The conference is an educational forum and showcase opportunity for independent female artists. I met a ton of really neat gals who are all trying to do the same thing I am, so there is definitely a sense of comraderie in place. The highlights of the trip are outlined in the photos.<\/p>\n
1) an all female population
\n2) Tara Kayln Norman, a 15 year old up and coming and her brand new Luna guitar
\n3)www.weaseltrap.com. Bob and his amazing harmonic capo class.
\n4) Getting to play for new folks. I played 3 sets, one over streaming radio. My sweet friends, the Todds and Liesa Elliott (Nashvillians) came out as well.<\/p>\n
I come away from this conference feeling encouraged that B and I are indeed doing a lot of things right. Also, further convinced that there is something inside of me that other people need. Bring it on. I love music. <\/p>\n
